Online Sales Policy

 

Michelle's Formal Wear is a full service specialty store retailer with a brick and mortar physical location where customers shop daily. We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

When you place an order on our website we will treat you with the same care and respect that we extend to our in-store customers. Unfortunately, since we will not have the opportunity to meet you in person, you will not be able to receive the full extent of our passion for customer service.  However, as an online customer please be assured that:

  1. We will do everything possible to make sure that your order is filled in a timely basis and that your shipment will arrive exactly when and how you expected. Most packages are received in 5-7 business days, but please allow up to 10 business days.
  2. If we process your order, we guarantee them items purchased will be arrive to you by your event date. If your event date is less than 10 business days away and you feel you may need alterations, please contact us at the store 229-896-2748. 
  3. We will communicate with you personally after receiving your order should there be any special circumstances.
  4. We will address all important contingencies, including confirming that your item will be received in time for your wear date and that you have ordered the correct size based on the designer’s measurements.
  5. We stand behind this policy by extending a full return and credit policy if WE ship you the wrong style, color, or size. This does not apply to you ordering the wrong style, color, size. This policy only applies to us shipping you something OTHER than what you ordered.
  6. Michelle's Formal Wear securely ships your packages via the United States Postal Service, United Parcel Service, or FedEx.

 

WHILE WE HAVE THOUSANDS OF ITEMS IN STOCK, OUR SITE DISPLAYS ALL ITEMS FOR THE SEASON FROM EACH DESIGNER (AS WE CAN ALMOST ALWAYS SPECIAL ORDER ANY ITEMS WE DO NOT HAVE IN STOCK FROM THE DESIGNER). ITEMS MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE WHEN YOU PLACE YOUR ORDER DUE TO THE HIGH DEMAND of PROM/HOMECOMING SEASON. PLEASE BE SURE TO ENTER YOUR CORRECT EMAIL ADDRESS AND CELL PHONE NUMBER, as this is the way we communicate with you regarding each order placed online.

We process each item separately in orders comprising multiple items; should one or some of the items you choose be unavailable or discontinued, we will proceed to process the available items in your order before notification in order to reserve any available pieces from the designer in the event that the item is in low designer quantity. We will notify you promptly if this situation occurs, but because we have to purchase the items from the designers in order to reserve them, we cannot offer refunds on any orders requiring us to special order from the designer.

All orders will incur a flat $20 shipping fee. This fee must be selected from the shipping drop-down list on the product description page in order to add an item to your cart. Upgraded shipping methods for expedited delivery may be available, and will appear on the product description page in the shipping drop-down list. If special circumstances arise, including but not limited to: your order will incur expedition/processing fees from the designer or your wear date will require expedited shipping fees to arrive in time, we will contact you prior to placing your order to discuss said circumstances and to obtain a payment method to process these fees if you would like to move forward. Please note that these circumstances are unlikely and we will do everything possible to minimize any additional costs to your order.

 

ALL SALES ARE FINAL ONLINE AND IN STORE. No returns or credits will be issued for online purchases for any other reasons other than those indicated above. But have no fear; our passion is for customer service.  We assure you that your experience ordering from us online can only be surpassed if you come to our store to experience our outstanding customer service in person.

Please note that the prices that you see on our website reflect the Designer’s Suggested Retail Price [MSRP].  The designers that we represent do not allow their collections to be displayed on a website for a lower price than the MSRP price that you see on our website.  If you see a lower price on any other website for the exact style from the same designer then you can KNOW FOR CERTAIN that website is producing and selling counterfeit dresses or gowns of inferior quality and shipping them as originals.


The prices in our store are not necessarily equal to the price on our website. We do everything we can to keep the prices on our website accurate and consistent with what the designer is charging for each style at the current time.  However, it is possible that there may be a price on our website that is simply incorrect or that may have been changed by the designer without our knowledge. 


If you purchase something on our website that is determined to be listed with an incorrect price we will correct the price on our website immediately and we will contact you to inform you of the error. We WILL NOT bill you until you have been informed of the corrected price. At that time you will have the opportunity to cancel your purchase or process a new order for the corrected price, which will be reflected on our website. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES will we honor a price that is found to be incorrect on our website; this would be considered a breach of our agreement with our designers who do not allow their styles to be sold for a price less than their MSRP price.


Michelle's promises to provide the utmost customer support to its customers and agrees to resolve any potential problems, within reason, to the best of its ability; by placing an online order, the purchaser and affiliates agree to refrain from disparagement, or the encouragement of, against Michelle's Formal Wear and its affiliates in any medium, whether verbal, on social media, or review sites.

Orders placed online are securely processed through Authorize.net, a trusted payment gateway exercising full PCI compliance. Upon the submission of your order, an authorization will be made on the payment method you provide. The funds authorized at this time will be captured after we are certain your order can be filled and the conditions above are satisfied. Please note that your card information is not made available to us when you submit your order--Authorize.net securely processes each authorization--and we are only able to capture the amount of funds authorized at this time.
